#5 Goodwill of Mandarin - 11524 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32223

As a dedicated thrifty thrifter, I know having a favorite Goodwill among the many locations near me is normal. Am I the only onešŸ¤£? Even if I am a loner on this, I have valid reasons to show favoritism to this specific Goodwill. This Goodwill has a wonderful location, just a few minutes down the road from a variety of other second-hand stores (including my #1 on this list). It makes for an easy and efficient day of thrifting due to its great location. Additionally, the cleanliness, organization, and selections are top-tier. It is hard to walk out of here without at least one item. Alongside their racks of clothing, they offer a wonderful selection of shoes, bags, and purses.

#4 City Thrift - 728 Edgewood Ave N, Jacksonville, FL 32254

City Thrift has been a community staple for many, many years. City Thrift helps serve and provide resources for families in need, from clothing to shoes to toys to small appliances. City Thrift is tucked away in a corner retail spot that is easy to miss but hopefully, their large white sign by the road catches your eye. City Thrift is the kind of store you may want to visit a few days out of the week if you're really up for some good deals. Each day is a new sale according to tag colors and any expected sales are posted and announced in the store. OH and do not miss out on their special sale which happens during certain times of the year where they offer 50% off of EVERYTHING!

#3 Hope's Closet - 651 Commerce Center Dr. No. 200, Jacksonville, FL 32225

Hope's Closet is not just a thrift store, it is a movement to make a positive impact on families and the community. Their efforts to aid and clothe families in need perfectly reflected their values and mission. In 2019, Hope's Closet was voted Jacksonville's #1 Thrift Store per VOID Magazine and The Bold City Best. I must say I totally agree it is one of the best. Hope's Closet offers well-kept stores, showcasing a second location at 14286 Beach Boulevard Ste. #44, Jacksonville, FL 32250. In addition, they provide exceptional customer service and a variety of clothing, accessories, and jewelry. I once found a brand-new beaded gown with tags attached here, I was in shock to find the price was only $6!

#2 The Thrift Store - 3851 Emerson St #14, Jacksonville, FL 32207

The name speaks for itself, it is THE Thrift Store. I am genuinely excited when I pull up to this massive thrift store because I know I will find astounding deals here! This thrift store not only brings in new inventory almost every minute but it brings in a crowd of dedicated second-hand shoppers. You are sure to find yourself in a shopping cart jam if you visit this place. But do not let the popularity of this store drive you away. The Thrift Store showcases aisles of wonderful clothing for women, men, and kids. Every day is a new sale, check the ever-changing tv display that alerts you what tag color provides the biggest discount. I have found an outfit for many occasions here!

#1 Uptown Cheapskate - 10601 San Jose Blvd Ste 4, Jacksonville, FL 32257

A trip here will have you feeling like you hit the fashion jackpot! Many of us love clothes, that's a given, but imagine a place where you can take your clothes that no longer speak to your style and trade them in for a totally refreshed wardrobe. Offering designer and name brands, Uptown Cheapskate will have you drowning in savings and amazing deals. Did I mention you get paid too? If they take a liking to the clothes you bring in, you can choose cash payment or a trade-in value valid at their store. Every day they have a new sale going on and of course new inventory. Uptown Cheapskate takes the #1 spot for me as it offers the perfect system. Perfectly providing shoppers with the joy of retail therapy and the ability to feel good as they shop sustainably.

I hope you have a chance to pay a visit to these stores. Whether you are a Jacksonville native or maybe just passing through, each spot listed here is worth the time if you have it. You will not only just save money, but you will also support communities, create jobs, and protect the planet from further negative impacts of fast-fashion.

Happy Shopping & Stay Thrifty Friends!
